After swimming in what felt like our private pool all morning, we took a leisurely afternoon to enjoy the River Walk.
Pool for 4
This is just a tiny bit of the plethora of pictures that I took of the mind boggling landscape artistry that we enjoyed while strolling through this city. Every time we turned a bend, there was a new feast for the eyes. It was just lovely. Most of the walk was shaded too, so the walk was very pleasant despite the heat. (OK....I am kind of lying here. It was 3 years ago.....I can't remember if we were hot!) But look at these pictures! You can see that it is so nice! These pictures are just a tiny sample. We walked through this wonderland for at least a couple of miles.

This is the famous pictures that you always see in magazines with the open air boats floating down the river!
Love the color!

Republic of Texas
Back to the Drury, Where We Started.
We ate lunch at the Republic of Texas, which was fun and good. We didn't realize that the Hard Rock was just around the next bend in the walk. We probably would have eaten there instead because even though Mike and I have eaten at a lot of Hard Rocks (Chicago many times, Honolulu, San Juan, Indianapolis, etc.), the kids have only eaten in Indy, and they say they don't remember it. It is always fun to see which Rocker's stuff is in each establishment. Oh, well, the Republic of Texas was fun too!
Surprisingly, the River Walk didn't take all afternoon, so we walked back to the Mexican Market again! We loved that place. Guess what we bought. Yep. A hat for Natalie. Natalie was going to buy one with her own money because she loved Harrison's new hat. I thought about buying one with my own money too, since I am a McLeod's Daughters Wanna Be! I split the difference and just bought one for Natalie. :) We checked the Mexican Bakery for Dolce de Leche. We should have bought it the first day because we were out of luck. They only make it once a week!
Mexican Market
Back to the Hotel for the usual Drury Kick Back Dinner and popcorn! We watched TV because that is actually a novelty for us! And the Queen of England's Diamond Jubilee was being celebrated! So fun!
