Last day in San Antonio! (I think!) We really loved this city! We chose to go back to the Alamo because we really loved this landmark and wanted to see it one more time.

Fire in the Hole!
At lunch, we chose to visit Pico de Gallo. It was a restaurant that a friend from home had told us to visit. She used to live in San Antonio. We had to cross an interstate to walk there. Plus, you could tell it wasn't a touristy place anymore. The food and atmosphere was just "ehhh". It did have very authentic food, if that is what you like. I like my food a little more......shall we say, clean? What I mean is no bones, no grey food, and no slop running into other slop. It really was OK. I just like some place like Chi Chi's better. I am not that adventurous!
Waiting Outside Pico de Gallo
I can't remember what we did all afternoon.....At dinner at the Drury, we talked to a manager, who was just sitting at lots of different people's tables talking to them. He told us about a new Drury that was opening in Orlando. Very exciting!
That night, Mike suggested that he walk down to a Subway and pick up some sandwiches for the ride home tomorrow. He didn't want to deal with the dining service on the Amtrak again. If you could call it "service." He also had the foresight to set up a taxi call at the desk for morning to the train station. Then we slept in our comfy beds one more night before the dreaded train ride home.
