The Count Down is On......
Only two weeks to go until our train trip to San Antonio and I haven't had much time lately to plan.....
So far in the food department I have chocolate on my list. Nothing else. No good ideas to fit the criteria I layed out in my last post.
I haven't organized any outfits to take. I have lost 16 pounds so my favorite clothes might not be what I end up packing. I went jogging this morning and couldn't keep the straps of my shirt on straight. That is both good....and bad. I don't have time to rework a wardrobe.
I DO have a friend scheduled to pick us up and drop us off at the train station in Renssselaer. I have also arranged for Mike's mom to pick us up when we come home. Ta Da! One thing done.
I really have to get going on a food plan because I don't want to wreck all my hard work for the past few months with a week of junk food. This morning I was doing an interval training that I have been working on. First I would walk 3 min. then run 1 over a period of 30 min. I have worked up to running 2 min. walking 1 for 30 min. Every time my foot hit the ground this morning, I thought to myself, "I hate this." I have never been a runner even for the first 22 years of my life at my optimal weight. This was the fifth day that I have been doing the hardest running I have ever done in my life. I would say to myself, "You did it yesterday; you can do it today." Yet my mind kept switching back to, "I hate this." Then I started thinking about how I haven't lost a pound in over 2 weeks! I was really hating it even more. Then I realized when I was almost done, that although my legs have been sore since I moved up to the next level, my lungs don't hurt when I run anymore! Even when I was young, my lungs and throat would burn and freeze simultaneously when I would run even an eighth of a mile! I am panting with exertion, but no pain in the throat and lungs! Yay Me! Man am I getting healthy!
No matter what my sister says, I am taking humus and carrots on the train! :)
